What do you apply for with this form?
With this form, you are applying for permission to transfer explosives within the European Union.
1. The receiver of the explosives must complete Sections 1 to 4 of the Intra-Community transfer of explosives document and submit this document to the competent receiving authority for approval.
2. The person responsible for transfer must get permission from the competent receiving authority (Section 6) and then notify the competent authorities of the Member States of transit and the Member State of origin about this, which must also give their permission (Section 5). These permissions of the competent authorities may be made available in the same document or in separate documents. In all cases, permissions must be securely identified.
3. If the competent authority of a Member State considers that special security measures are necessary, all information must be provided in the transfer of explosives document. If none of the competent authorities involved in the transaction consider that special security requirements are necessary, only the information marked with an asterisk (*) needs to be provided.
4. In all cases, the document must accompany the explosives until they arrive at their destination.
5. 'Full description of explosives': means the trade name and/or UN designation and any other relevant information that may facilitate the identification of the articles. If the explosives are not EC marked, this must be clearly indicated.
6. 'Quantity' means either the number of articles or the net weight of the explosives, as applicable.
